Mark E. Trent is a West Virginia-born photographer and filmmaker whose work captures intimate human stories with depth and purpose. Raised in Appalachia, he graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has built a dynamic career spanning documentary, commercial, and editorial photography. Trent’s photo essays and films have been featured by major outlets including The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, and Great Big Story — and he’s created award-winning work that has garnered international attention, including recognition at the Cannes Lions Festival.
Today, he remains deeply connected to his roots in Ronceverte, West Virginia, where he serves on local boards, engages in community development, and continues traveling the globe to tell stories that resonate across cultures and communities.
